We have a fun learning opportunity for an enthusiastic volunteer who wants to assist and/or learn the ropes from the Executive Director of our membership-driven non-profit. This position is very flexible in terms of minimal hours per week/month, semi-regular face-to-face meetings (most likely in midtown Toronto or North York) as well as mostly working from home, with potential to extend this volunteer position long-term and/or into a paid position in the future.  It is great for someone who has worked in non-profits/charities, or who wants to understand more how these organizations are built and operated, or who wishes to perhaps run their own non-profit someday.

Depending on your interest and resume, your role may include:

Community outreach to raise awareness, light market research, social media marketing (Hootsuite, LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook), contributing as a guest blogger/author, coaching/training others, helping to organize events, organize/run webinars, light clerical work and consulting with the Executive Director on a regular basis.

When you send your resume, please let us know if you have relevant skills, education and/or experience regarding some or all of these:

  • social media marketing
  • sociology/psychology/communications
  • corporate communications/PR
  • coaching, training, public speaking
  • previous experience working/volunteering for a non-profit, charity or for-profit office experience
  • customer service
  • French language skills

If interested please email us a short cover letter (in the email is fine) with an attached PDF of your resume - max 2 pages please.  Please email them to:
